We are intending to hold our UK Congregation Ceremonies on the 21st and 22nd March 2022 at Sport Central, City Campus, Northumbria University, Newcastle and we would like to invite recent graduates from SeoulTech to attend.
Following this confirmation, students who wish to attend will be sent the formal invitation and will need to book a place. Included in that booking is a graduate ticket and up to two complimentary tickets but please note it is unlikely that we will be able to offer any more tickets due to the restrictions currently in place, although the ceremony will be streamed live via our website. The Ceremony is scheduled to last 60 minutes. Students will also need also need to order and pay for gown hire by 21st February 2022 or we will assume they no longer wish to attend and their booking may be cancelled. Gown orders are placed via the Ede and Ravenscroft website. Graduates should not order gown until they have received the official invitation.
In addition it may be worth noting that the format of the ceremony is different this time , again due to the restrictions in place. Graduates will not process onto the stage to meet the Chancellor but will remain seated throughout the ceremony and stand when their name is called to allow individual applause, this will be captured on the big screens in the hall allowing all guests to have the best view possible of the graduate.
Please see the invitation guide for full information on the ceremony, gown hire and photography As you can appreciate Government advice is changing, and the Covid-19 requirements will be confirmed nearer the date, but the assumption that is that there may be additional Covid-19 measures in place to ensure safety at this event, including but not limited to - wearing a mask, proof of double vaccination or a negative lateral flow test within 48 hours.
